Wall Mounted Umbrellas For Balconies and Tight Outdoor Spaces
Wall mounted umbrellas fold flat against a wall or balustrade when not deployed, then swing out on demand. No base, no footprint on the floor, and no pole to work around.
This is the space saving patio umbrella format for narrow balconies, apartment terraces and any site where a freestanding base isn't practical or permitted. It works well on strata properties, five-foot ways and compact pool decks.
Our wall mounted range uses the same marine-grade aluminium and stainless steel hardware as our cantilever and center pole umbrellas. Canopies are UV-stabilised and rated for monsoon exposure, not a lighter-duty version built for indoor use.
Deployment is manual and takes seconds. The mounting bracket is fixed once during installation, and the arm folds in and out from there.

Rotation lets the canopy track the sun across a balcony throughout the day. SHADOWTILT™ drops the canopy angle for low, late-afternoon sun, common on west-facing Malaysian units. SHADOWREACH™ pushes the canopy further from the wall when you need reach without intruding on a window or doorway below.
Marine-grade, not balcony grade
The Retreat™ is built from the same anodised aluminium and 316 stainless steel as Shadowspec's larger commercial ranges, not a lighter-duty balcony product.
The solution-dyed canopy fabric resists oil, staining, chlorine and fading, which matters directly for units near a pool or a kitchen exhaust vent.
