A pool deck is the toughest environment an umbrella will face. Reflected UV off the water doubles the exposure, and chlorine and humidity attack ordinary hardware fast.
Every umbrella in this collection uses marine-grade aluminium frames and 316-grade stainless steel fittings, the same specification used on yachts. Canopies are solution-dyed acrylic, resistant to chlorine, salt air and fading.

Why cantilever suits most pool layouts
A pool deck is usually arranged around the water, not around a fixed umbrella base. Sunbeds move, tables shift, and the space closest to the water needs to stay clear for safety.
A cantilever umbrella's offset mast keeps the canopy's footprint away from the pool edge while still shading the loungers or dining area beside it.
Chlorine and salt resistance matter as much as UV
Standard umbrella fabric fades and weakens faster near a pool, because chlorine and splash speed up the breakdown that UV alone causes more slowly.
Shadowspec's solution-dyed canopy fabric is built to resist chlorine, oil and staining, not just sun exposure, which is the detail that
separates a genuinely pool-rated umbrella from a patio umbrella wearing a pool label.
When wall-mounted works better than cantilever
Compact pool decks, plunge pools and rooftop pools with limited surrounding floor space often cannot fit a cantilever base at all.
